Collaboration

The Alliance works with a wide range of local and national organizations to improve quality and control costs in health care across the five-county Puget Sound region.  Locally, the number of public and private organizations and individuals who participate in the Alliance grows each month.

Collaborative efforts to improve health care quality across the region are more likely to succeed than having each employer, clinic, hospital, health plan or consumer group work on their own. By working together, we share best practices and are able to align incentives around community goals. Plus it is far more efficient than each organization developing separate and potentially contradictory approaches to improving quality and cutting costs (not to mention the duplication of effort!). Through collaboration, Alliance participants are achieving a standardized and streamlined approach to quality and cost improvement in health care that will work for all of us in the region.
